ACADEMIC VOLUNTEERING AT SMK

The SMK University of Applied Social Sciences (SMK) aims to create an inclusive and diverse international academic community. We welcome applications from working and retired faculty, staff, and administrators of universities and colleges throughout the world, as well as non–academic professionals who wish to volunteer for our SMK University capacity building. Volunteers are expected to act as role models, supporting academic progress and providing inspiration and encouragement to young people seeking for academic education.

Advantages of volunteering in Lithuania:

-          Exploring Lithuania – representative of the Baltic culture,

-          Experiencing different culture, identity and mentality,

-          Contributing to academic development of Lithuania,

-          Transferring knowledge to Lithuania‘s HR potential,

-          Working with prosperous students of Lithuania.

 

Available Study Programmes for teaching:

-          Tourism and Hotels

-          Advertising Design

-          Applied Programming and Multimedia

-          Public Relations

-       Joint Degree in International Business (implemented together with Braganca Polytechnic Institute, Portugal)

-       Joint Degree in Technology and Innovation Management (implemented together with Rezekne Augtskola, Latvia)

-       Joint Degree in International Marketing and Branding (implemented together with Braganca Polytechnic Institute, Portugal)

Requirements for the applicants:

-          Not lower than MA degree

-          Work experience in academic environment or business at least 10 years,

-          Enthusiasm and willingness to be occupied with academic activities,

-          Ability to act on initiative.
