The success of every public member’s quality of life, business development or services provided is determined by the ability to spread the news and information about ourselves, about the product created or service provided in the way to be observed and noted by others; the information should be righteous and attractive, perceived clearly and evaluated properly.
We live in the world of knowledge and information. The knowledge gathered by people becomes the source of information to others only when it is shared, transmitted and disseminated by different ways and means. The existence of contemporary global human community is no longer possible without permanent, endless and integral communication process.
The news about yourself, your company or organization, its products or services provided can be spread in various ways: via TV or radio broadcast; published in an article, advertised in a newspaper or magazine, but … it is also possible to create a filmed or photographed reportage or organize a promotional event. In other words, for transferring information, it is possible to make use not only of an oral or spoken word (which is still frequently considered to be the principal means of communication), but to use an image, no matter if it is static or dynamic, with or without sound, colourful or black and white. Scientists say that modern culture can be called “visual culture”. A modern person must be able to create and decipher visual codes which are abundant on stands, in advertisements and in various works of art. A person is forced to contact with images more and more, he has to perceive, understand, evaluate, interpret and convey them in his own way. This is due to advanced technologies applied in industry, social sector, medicine, etc. According to scientists, visual thinking covers every human activity: football coaches create a new game strategy; surgeons speculate while operating visually meanwhile chemists while constructing models of molecules; mathematicians reflect when developing formulas; architects – when drawing plans and sketches; businessmen – while working out a schedule of work, etc.
Having evaluated communication and visualization as inherent and vital phenomena of the contemporary society and having taken into account the fact that modern information and communication technologies have become powerful factors for the growth of economy and creating jobs, International School of Law and Business has developed a new curriculum of Visual Communication which was positively evaluated and accredited by experts.
Visual Communication program strives to provide comprehensive fundamental knowledge as well as form theoretical and visual foundation, and seeks to develop modern practical skills necessary for successful creation of visual communication production under current labour market conditions. Visual Communication Program aims at consolidating the concepts of communication science and visualization; establishing theoretical basics for creating visual communication production; developing capacity to reveal and determine the purpose, impact and effectiveness of visual communication production; teaching how to apply visual means in creating visual communication production.
Graduates from Visual Communication program will be able to work as creators of visual communication production in various public information and public relations companies, as well as in communication subdivisions of different organizations or numerous enterprises which organize leisure, cultural, business, sporting, advertising, etc., events; in mass media (TV, radio), also in such fields as organizing events, coordinating creative projects or creative industries.
