INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR FUTURE EUROPE
In order to contribute to successful process of Lithuania‘s presidency to the EU Council, the SMK University of Applied Social Sciences initiates International Forum for Future Europe “Sustainable Economy and Harmony Society: Future Visions and Today Actions”. Dates of the Forum: November 7, 2013 and November 8, 2013. Place of the Forum: Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Gedimino pr. 53, Vilnius, Lithuania Participants of the Forum: representatives of education, business, non-governmental sector, politics, and media: experts, scientists, practitioners, policy makers, businessmen. It is intended that there will be 300-500 participants in the event, who will represent the sectors important to the Forum topic: politics, business, science, and non-governmental organizations from Lithuania, neighbouring countries, and other EU member countries. Preliminary programme: First day of the Forum is dedicated for topics of politics and economy: Sustainable economy creation in the world; Added value of clean technologies to economic growth; The role of countries in establishing and developing “clean“ and “green“ technologies; The policy of innovation and technology creation for small and medium business in Europe. Second day of the Forum is dedicated for topics of education and society: The principles of responsible education; The meaning of cultures and creative industries to the growth of social capital; Scientific research and innovations as the basis for economic growth and work-place creation – European experience; The role of higher education institutions while creating innovations and promoting creativity. The travel and accommodation expenses for participants of the Forum will be covered. Candidates are asked to send their topics and abstracts of the reports till 10th of July, 2013.
