On April 25th, the 22nd Annual Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) Conference commenced at the European Solidarity Center, a location of profound historical significance in Poland. This inaugural day, aptly titled the "Day of Inspiration," set a dynamic tone with a series of thought-provoking keynotes and interactive sessions designed to ignite new ideas and encourage innovative thinking.

Professor Dipak C. Jain opened the day with a keynote address titled "Elevating Management Education by Integrating AI and Human Intelligence” putting accents to people and inviting to humanize business by recognizing that people are the only source of differentiation and value creation.

Following this, Professor Soumodip Sarkar delivered a compelling keynote on “Mastering the future: AI impact on business models and practice Cognipoly”. He invited participants to consider technology's organic growth and its inherent consequences.

The day continued with a provocative keynote on "How to Make Better Business Decisions? Where do Humans Stand as AI Evolves?" This session explored critical questions for leadership teams, challenging participants to reassess their approach to data-driven decision-making. The presentation pushed the boundaries of traditional thinking and urged attendees to consider whether their data philosophy aligns with AI's capabilities.

A highlight of the day was a special session with Lech Wałęsa, the esteemed Polish statesman, dissident, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and former President of Poland. His presence added a significant historical and inspirational dimension to the conference, providing attendees with unique insights into leadership, democracy, and social change.

The day concluded with a visit to the Gdańsk University of Technology, where participants experienced immersive AI simulations. This hands-on experience provided an interactive and engaging way to conclude the first day, reinforcing the conference's theme of innovation and forward-thinking.
