The launch of 19th Annual BMDA Conference
On the 7th of October the 19th Annual BMDA Conference "Is the World really burning out? Mastering new reality” hasbeen opened with the welcome speeches by the Dean of the conference host institution – School of Business and Governance at TalTech – prof. Enn Listra and the president of BMDA – dr. Virginijus Kundrotas. The 19th Annual BMDA conference was attended by 160 participants from 24 countries (Lithuania, Russia, Estonia, India, USA, France, Poland, Latvia, Ukraine, Georgia, The Netherlands, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Iceland, Portugal, Slovenia, Namibia, Peru, Brazil, Spain, Great Britain, Check republic, China).
At the beginning conference participants where invited to listen to magical the sounds of violin – as the Conference opening part was performed by one the most famous violinist couple in Lithuanian and world recognized artists – Viktorija Cepinskiene and Vilhelmas Cepinskis.
Conference participants were inspired by “catching” and passionate Keynote speech by dr. Dipak C Jain (President (European) and Professor of Marketing at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai (China, India, USA ) “Business Transformation And New Reality “. Dr. Dipak C. Jain is a globally recognized marketing and innovation expert whose insights have inspired a generation of business leaders to pursue success with significance. Dr. Jain’s influential career spans nearly four decades as an educator, a senior business school administrator, and a consultant to corporations and governments. Throughout his career, he had furthered a pedagogical model that combines academic excellence and business relevance to produce high-impact results with social significance.
Then followed the first Panel where panelists: Mr. Madis Müller - Governor of Eesti Pank (Estonia), Speaker 2 - Mr. Mindaugas Glodas - CEO at NRD Companies (Norway) Speaker 3 -Prof. Agnis Stibe - Globally recognised corporate consultant and scientific advisor, Academic director on Artificial Intelligence and professor of Transformation at EM Normandie Business School. (France) presented their insights is the burnout is a real problem? What could be done in coping with burn-out in governmental level and how we can adjust to the New reality we are facing. The panel has been moderated by the chairman of the Conference prof. Dipak C. Jain.
The second panel - Organisational level - exploring company as a smaller system. Estonian case was attended by representatives of leading companies is Estonia - Mr. Kaarel Ots - Chairman of the management board, Nasdaq Estonia and Mr. Nikolai Zenevitsh - Global Strategic Partnerships Manager at Bolt Food. Prof. Edita Gimžauskienė - Dean of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Faculty of Economics and Business (EVF) (Lithuania) performed as the moderator of the panel
The third panel focused on CEO view and explored, what kind of challenges do they have and deal with, is it easy for them, how do they feel themselves? What could they suggest for others?
The session was moderated by the Mr. Andrzej Popadiuk (BMDA Board member, Director of Gdynia Maritime University, Offshore Wind Energy Centre (Poland) and attended by the panelists: Ms. Sandra Golbreich - CEO, founding partner at “Baltic Sandbox”, New Nordic ecosystem builder, educator, “womenintech” advocate (Baltics/ Ukraine). Mr. Andrzej Borczyk - Human Resources Director, Board Member in Grupa Żywiec, (Poland) and Ms. Vilma Druliene - CEO and Chairman of the Board in Pharmaceutical business at “Repharm” Group (Latvia)
The Special closing keynote speech “How to avoid a burnout of your life and of your company” was presented by Dr. I. Adizes ( USA).
